RANDOM ACTS - THE WORDS YOU’LL NEVER HEAR // CHANNEL 4
The Words You’ll Never Hear is our third collaboration with visual artist Tom Dale for Channel 4’s Random Acts series. As with all of Tom’s work it both mesmerises and provokes. The subject of this film is the giant Dune de Pilat, in Arcachon, France which is slowly swallowing a vast forest. Using narration, sound design and mesmerising images that capture the changing eco system, this final film in the trilogy continues Tom Dale’s interest in the shifting meaning of both words and landscape.
Narrated by Emma Thompson - the only artist to have won an Academy Award for both acting and screenwriting.
